Larry Bluth
The world has lost an extraordinary human – and Carolyn, our family will always be grateful that you thought to share Larry with us. His gifts are too numerous to count or list
Indeed, music lived deep in his soul and he cultivated a love and appreciation of it in both Lucie and Colette, although, really that was the tip of the iceberg.
He always saw all of us as the best most special versions of ourselves, even when we might not. He never pushed, but he taught them (and me) to believe in ourselves, to keep at the things that were important to us, and to see and hear the beauty all around.
When the world seemed to fall apart after the last election, he remained steadfast in his belief that our justice system and the integrity of humanity would work to ensure a better day. His hope was built on knowledge and faith in people.
He touched our lives in more ways than I can properly express – and continues to – as he lives in our hearts and always will.
Without music I should wish to die. Even poetry, Sweet Patron Muse forgive me the words, is not what music is… All that remains is Bach. I find that I never lose Bach. I don’t know why I have always loved him so. Except that he is so pure, so relentless and incorruptible, like a principle of geometry.
