Carrot “Bacon”
Ingredients
- A large carrot as thick as possible to have nice slices
- 1 tbsp of sesame tahini puree
- 1 tbsp of maple syrup
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil here rapeseed
- 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Peel a large carrot, then using a mandolin or a sharp knife, slice the carrot lengthwise (about 2mm, they must not be too thin otherwise they risk burning in the oven. cooking). Place the carrots in a large, high-sided dish.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the marinade, then pour over the carrots. Coat each carrot slice well with the marinade. Leave to rest for 30 min.
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- Prepare a baking sheet covered with baking paper and place the carrot slices next to each other (spread a little marinade on top).
- Bake and cook for 15 to 20 minutes depending on the desired consistency (more or less crispy).
- Take out of the oven and place on a cooling rack, the carrot slices will harden a little more when cooling.
